Laptop fan making too much noise, Overheated Laptop

What could cause your laptop to overheat.

• using it on a soft surface, where the intake is blocked by the material the laptop is sitting on
• using the laptop in an extremely hot and humid environment
• excessive dust and debris between the fan and the heat sink
• a cooling fan that is not spinning
• a cooling assembly that is not mounted properly, or that was damaged during assembly

Often when computer parts overheat, usually the CPU or the graphics card, the fans go at a faster RPM (rotations per minute) in order to cool down the certain computer part.

If you want to make sure that the reason is the computer parts are overheating, it’s easy. Just press the palms of your hands to the bottom of the laptop. If it burns your hands because it is too hot, then boom, you got the solution. Its overheating.

• Adjust your laptop power settings.
• Use dust remover spray to clean out of the laptop’s vents.
• Use a laptop cooling pad that has a fan or two.
• Keep your working environment or computer room as comfortably cool as possible.
• Shut down your computer when not in use, and especially when you are not at home.
• Using it on your bed can also be a problem. Try setting it on something that will let it get better airflow.
